What is great about Lisbon?

Hello Everybody,

this episode was filmed almost 2 years ago! Get Inspired was only a dream and I didn’t have a clue about editing πŸ™‚
We LOVED Lisbon! It is such an amazing city! It provides everything you can wish for, good food and drink, history and culture, nice places and lovely people. Can do on the budget and public transport is fantastic! Highly recommended!
I had my best travel buddy with me and we had an epic time despite of the bad weather (no risk, take an umbrella)!
Book your ticket and have fun!

Love, An

Data Protection

Hello Everybody,

This video is a bit different but also something which I am very passionate about! Helping others πŸ™‚ Unfortunately nowadays data protection is a hot topic and it makes all of us very vulnerable. No matter how good you are, they are better. To be fair, it is impossible to get fully protected and their techniques are getting better and better. They target everybody, no one is safe. However you can do the basics at least so you filter some of them. The easiest rule to follow: NEVER SHARE YOUR DATA WITH ANYONE!

Just Dance!

Hello Everybody,

Happy to say that we are back! πŸ™‚ Starting the new batch of videos with this great activity which has saved me so many times in my life: DANCING! I have been lucky enough to learn from the most inspiring teachers, met many friends, burnt many calories and helped me through difficult times! Can’t be grateful enough and would love to inspire all of you to go and dance no matter where you are or how old you are! Dancing brings people together and it keeps you alive…

Learn how to sew

Hello Everybody,

In the new episode we are showing a very different activity: sewing!!!
This one also means a lot to me as I got my first sewing machine from my grandma when I was 14. She was amazing of course. I have never really learnt how to sew properly back then but I loved it and eventually the machine broke 😦 at least hand sewing I am ok with…

20 years later I thought it was about time to learn this awesome skill! Better late than never, right? πŸ˜‰

I have put myself into action and googled some places where I could do a sewing course. This is how I found Sew it with Love!
You can check all the courses here: http://www.sewitwithlove.co.uk

The beginner course was absolutely fantastic! Step by step we were taught how to use the sewing machine and how to make our own pillow case, tote bag and skirt! All in two days πŸ™‚ Special thanks to Elena and Vanessa.

Get Inspired Ladies and learn how to sew!

London in a day

Hello Everybody,

this time we show you with my cousin and his girlfriend how to check out the most popular places in London in a day!I was lucky enough to have them for the weekend and I made sure they make the most of it. I have prepared this route for us, we hope you like it and find it useful:
– starting from The Tower of London (Tower Hill station)
– crossing Tower bridge
– walking along Southbank
– Shard, Borough Market, The Globe, Tate Modern, St Paul’s
– get on the tube and go to Westminster
– check out Big Ben, London Eye, Downing street
– carry on towards St James’ Park, Buckingham Palace
– Trafalgar Square, National Gallery (Van Gogh, W. Turner etc)
– Piccadilly Circus, Leicester square, Covent Garden, Soho
– Oxford Circus

It takes 8 hours, up to 15 km walking so make sure you have good shoes, cost you no more then your daily travel fee (use Oyster or contactless card). Of course London has many other places and they are all fantastic but you only have a day this is a good route to follow.

We hope you got inspired πŸ˜‰

Visit Malaga

Hello Everybody,

Those of you who know how cold and dark England can be from October till February might understand why it is so great to get on the plane and see the sun for a long weekend (at least) ;-).
This time I went to see my very good friend Judit who lives there. It was still super nice and sunny and it really helped me to charge up! We hadn’t met for 20 years before I went on this trip so we had a lot to catch up on however thanks to Facebook we have always kept in touch! And it wasn’t surprising at all that we still like the same things, talk the same and finish each others sentences.
Malaga is magical, with it’s sun and cool beach you can also go to the city as well and do so much more.
Highly recommended! Go to Malaga!

Let’s bake – Honey man

Hello Everybody,

this week we were baking and we chose the Hungarian version of the gingerbread man which I just call ginger man. This yummy version hasn’t got ginger in it but we use honey (a lot)!
It is very easy to make, last for weeks and you will be very popular in the office or within the family. Trust me, it has been tested many many times. It is easy to make, fun with kids as well and it might inspire you to get into baking πŸ™‚

Ingredients (using a general 2,5 dl mug):

8 mug plain flour (1kg)
1,5 mug icing sugar (30 dkg / 0.3kg)
3 spoon bicarbonate of soda
1 spoon mixed spices & 1 spoon cinnamon
30 dkg / 0.3 kg margarin r butter (room temperature)
1 mug honey (2,5dl)
3 eggs

Just mix the dry ingredients then the rest, mix it all up until it is like a ball, add some flout if it is too sticky but not much because when you start to use the forms you need flour anyway.
Once you have a nice ball you can start to make the shapes. Put them on baking paper and put them in the oven for 10 min max on 180 degrees (never more). Once they are all cold you can start to decorate them. It is really that easy πŸ™‚ I would never make anything which is too complicated… Life is too short.

We hope you like it!

Try out Guitar Social

Hello Everybody,

This episode is also a very special one which is really close to my heart (probably the closest)! One of my biggest dream was to understand the language of music and to be able to play at least a little bit on the guitar.
Alone it would have been very challenging! Thanks to Guitar Social I haven’t just learnt to play, I also met with amazing people and I have learnt a lot about music history and different styles and techniques. The only time when I wish I was a teenager again and I had as much time as I had back then. I admire everybody who can play really well. I don’t think I will ever be a rock star but just to be able to play the main chords gives me real happiness and satisfaction. It feels so special to understand this secret connection with that instrument.
All I can say that please don’t ever wait as long as I did, get inspired and start to learn guitar (or any other instruments) and get connected with music.

Visit London Zoo

Hello everybody,

this week recommendation is the amazing, one and only, London Zoo! We really hope that this quick teaser will give you some ideas and it can show you how special this place is. It is in Regent’s park, right in the middle of the city. It’s worth going on a nice sunny day and it is great for adults as well! I love Butterflies so much so this place really helped me to switch off and have a great time!
Highly recommended, London Zoo – we loved you!
